So after the most intriguing relegation battle the Premier League has ever seen, we finally know the three that will go down to the Championship; West Ham, Blackpool and Birmingham.
In what was a dramatic final half an hour to the season, 4 of the 5 teams which could have gone down found themselves in the bottom 3. Only Blackburn managed to avoid finding themselves in that position after a fantastic first half performance which saw them 0-3 up at half time against a worried Wolves. Elsewhere Wigan survived with a less than comfortable 1-0 away win at Stoke, though at times, that might not have been enough.
Blackpool finally gave in, Ian Evatt doing what Manchester United found hard; beat the Blackpool keeper.
Birmingham deserved to go down after a very poor performance at Tottenham, hardly managing a shot on Goal.
So the last day results were;
Aston Villa 1-0 Liverpool
Bolton 0-2 Manchester City
Everton 1-0 Chelsea
Fulham 2-2 Arsenal
Manchester United 4-2 Blackpool
Newcastle 3-3 West Brom
Stoke 0-1 Wigan
Tottenham 2-1 Birmingham
West Ham 0-3 Sunderland
Wolves 2-3 Blackburn
A fantastic day of football which leaves the final premier league table of the season looking like this;
1 Man Utd | 38 | 80 |

3 Man City | 38 | 71 |
